It is our specialty to design and install a landscape to meet the style of your business or home whether you are looking for a warm, peaceful setting for clients or a bright entrance to welcome you home. If you intend to renovate an existing landscape or landscape for the first time, we can design a master plan for you. A master plan gives definition to your landscape just as architectural plans for a home. Through the master plan, our talented landscape designer will ensure that your high expectations are met.

Our Design Process:

Assembling Information
Finding out about you and your home...

  • Before we meet with you...
...you need to do some homework! Assemble pictures of landscapes you like or dislike; this helps us determine your tastes. Gather any architectural plans and site plans. Locating these plans reduces the amount of time we have to spend on the site visit, thus saving you money!
  • Hearing about you...
...in our initial meeting with you, the client, we will assess your landscaping wants, needs, and tastes. We will review your architectural plans and site plans.
  • We visit your home...
...we will assess the environmental aspects of your site, such as drainage issues, directional orientation, and exposure. We also take measurements of details not provided on the site and architectural plans.

Preliminary Concept Plans and Sketches
The brainstorming begins...

  • A base map is prepared
... simply put, this is a map of your property with your home, walks, outbuildings, etc., located on it. We will do all the work; you just get to sit back!
  • A "rough" plan view diagram is developed...
...this bird's eye view of the general concepts of the proposed landscape design will express the layout and suggested style of your future landscape. Again, we do the work!
  • Perspective sketches are drawn...
...we will draw sketches of how the proposed landscape will look once installed at your home.
  • Drawings are presented to you...
...this meeting with you is the most important, as it allows us, designer and client, to brainstorm over the landscape concepts and fine tune the design. Our goal is to meet your landscape needs and wants within your budget. We hope you are pleased with your landscape design!

The Working Master Landscape Plan
The product of our efforts...

  • Development of working master plan...
...we review notes from the preliminary plan meeting. The previously prepared base map is now turned into the working master plan, with specific hardscape details and plant selection drawn and noted on this final landscape plan.
  • Presentation of master plan...
...a final meeting is held with the client to present the final master landscape plan. The specific elements of the design are reviews and final budgets for installation are presented.

... on to the next phase, installation!
